We took over this 72 residential units site from a previous consultant at planning stage, and carried out a value engineering exercise which significantly reduced the requirements for on-site drainage attenuation storage. The engineering studio also prepared a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) to support the application. In addition to this, we were also appointed to undertake all works related to civil and structural engineering design.

The engineering studio we also in charge of obtaining all legal agreements for drainage (S104) and highways (S38 and S278).

Good part of the site required the design of piled foundations due to the proximity and type of existing trees and the requirement to meet NHBC standards.

Off-site S278 works

The client was required to improve the existing highways network and provide a new right-turn lane to access the site. The design was undertaken using our 3D design software and following Wiltshire County Council standards.
