Flood Risk

Following current National Planning Policy Framework guidelines…

…a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) is required for any site in Flood Zone 2 or 3 and sites over 1ha in Flood Zone 1. An FRA is also required if the application includes a change of use to a more vulnerable class and in areas that have critical drainage problems as notified by the Environment Agency.

We will provide supporting documentation for any site in Flood Zones 1, 2 or 3. We can either prepare a desktop study or undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling to confirm flood levels and design the scheme so that the required standard of protection is provided.
